Gets hung up on install

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. Just found out about Unraid, after spending the last 10 years using Plex on my home PC.

I formatted my flash drive and installed necessary items on it. When I boot from it, it gets stuck right here. Any ideas??fd2ac38ec0ce485b4ad40b4fb3462dc7.jpg

Booting UEFI or not?

Yes. If that’s the one that had a checkbox on setting up the install file for the flash drive, it definitely was checked

There is a folder on the flash drive, that folder must be named depending on whether you are booting UEFI or not. Folder must be named

EFI to boot UEFI

EFI- to boot non-UEFI

OK, so the last attempt you made to boot was not UEFI, but you had not renamed the folder to EFI-

Same result.

Will it matter if none of my other drives are formatted? Was waiting for a new hard drive to come in first so I could temporarily transfer all my media to there.

Also, I really appreciate all your help so far!! Thank you

Unraid must format any disk you will use in the array or pools AFTER you assign them.

Are you booting GUI or not?

Yeah. I switched it off my graphics card to use the Intel one. It got me to the login screen.
