February 6, 200818 yr I scored the following for a mini /itx unraid system. JetWay J7F3E-PB A (462) SiS 741CX Mini ITX AMD Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16813153052 ($129) Chenbro ES34069 Mini-ITX Home Server/NAS Chassis ($300) http://www.logicsupply.com/products/es34069 The AMD Geode is a hell of a performer for the price I got ($129/W CPU). The Chenbro chassis was a bit expensive, I did have to add a Promise TX4, PCI Riser card and card reader (from min-itx.com) it's perfect for what I need however.. The embedded network adapter uses the sis900 module. Can this be included somehow. I plan to purchase a daughter board for this Motherboard which has 3 Gigabit interfaces. In the meantime I cannot use it. I would compile my own kernel only I do not know where the source mods are and I can't extract the GUID without the network/web interface. This is one of two systems I'm working on. I plan to build another system using an MSI ITX and core 2 duo processor for my ripping and storage station. I plan to use vmware server for the hosted XP environment do to the rips and conversions all the while storing the data on the unraid machine. heh, if this works out I'll be dumping my infrant readynas nv+
June 24, 200818 yr Author Tom, Please add this driver to the kernel config. There have been a number of requests for this driver with the ITX Boards. Specifically the IBM ones. At the very least can it be compiled, and if space is needed that bad, leave it off the bzroot, but make it available for people to add back in via insmod when they need it.
