New SATA drive not appearing in unraid but appears in BIOS.

Featured Replies

I got a new SATA harddrive and have put it in my system. It will not show up in unraid by any means but shows in the BIOS. I have tried different cables, cables from the other drives, unplugged other drives, etc. It does not appear under unassigned devices. I am very lost at this point because every drive I've put in this system has always shown up and was a smooth process.

Any tips or diagnosing would be helpful, thanks.

Please post the diagnostics and a photo on the drive in the BIOS.

Swap cables and post with a different one.

Problem stayed with the disk, suggesting it's no good.

I guess I will need to contact WD. This is a brand new drive that I just got yesterday. Very unfortunate.
