February 28, 20233 yr I use the NUT plugin. About every week, unRaid will report that my UPS has gone offline but what turns out to have happened is that the built in APC UPS daemon has started on its own and I guess it takes priority over the NUT plugin. When I go into the settings it says Status:Running despite that Start APC UPS daemon: is set to No. In order to "fix" this issue I have to set Start APC UPS daemon: to Yes -> Apply then No -> apply. The only custom thing I have running on any kind of schedule is a script to restart a totally unrelated docker container. unRaid Version: 6.11.5 NUT version 2022.03.20

August 29, 20232 yr This is sadly still a problem for me... It happens every other day A pain in the ass because I have other devices relying on Unraid for the UPS managment. Unraid version: 6.12.3 NUT version: 2023.07.26 (SimonFair)
October 9, 20232 yr Sooo... should I wait for the fix or what? Original post is from Feb 28 2023. It's October and I have the same issue - once in a week, the apcupsd daemon starts itself at 4:40. I use NUT (because support for my UPS broke with apcupsd) and this behaviour really bugs me.
June 8, 20242 yr Does anyone have a solution because I'm now experiencing this myself as well after having to switch to the nut plugin because the original doesn't quite work right with my ups
November 3, 20241 yr I had a APC USV in use until it decided to burn. Never had this warning, even when it started to go up in smoke. Now i got no USV in use and i stopped the daemon. Every week now i get a message, that it lost communication. I got the very same problem like OP here. The daemon is set to not start at all. And it still does. Edit: Here is the cause and a solution Edited November 3, 20241 yr by Knutowskie
