MSI MotherBoard GPU PASSTHROUGH Unable?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with the "GPU Passthrough".
Previously I had an Gigabyte motherboard and I had no problem but I upgraded to an MSI motherboard with 2 PCIE 4Gen.
Since my change I am no longer able to do GPU/PCIE PASSTHROUGH.

I currently have an MSI MPG X570S EDGE MAX WIFI motherboard (MS-7D53)

Error: ( qemu-system-x86_64: vfio: Cannot reset device 0000:2d:00.1, depends on group 35 which is not owned. )

Do I need to change the motherboard or is there something I can do in the bios/unraid options?

(French to english with google)

Looks like you are not passing the audio part of the GPU thru to the VM or have not bound to VFIO. You need to do all parts of the GPU.

If you need the ACS override to separate them into iommu groups from other device then it need to be enabled.

When selecting the devices in the VM you need to have all parts. so for my 2060 I would need to select the GPU 82:00.1 the audio and the other two pci devices .2 & .3 even thou there is not a usable Usb/serial ports on the card.
