for some reason I cant find  "Primary Vdisk size" when creating a VM:

 

Checking this:

 

As the thread you linked to says, there's likely already an existing image with that folder/name. 

It will only show if no image exists. 

 

If you leave it on "auto" then it puts a "vdisk1.img" file in a folder named with the VM name. If you already have a VM with the same name it'd link to the same vdisk, either rename the new VM from the default or change to Manual and specify.
