March 6, 20233 yr Hi, upgraded my server a few weeks ago from an I7 3770k to an I5 12600K with supporting hardware. I have been having a problem where my shares will disappear. Most of the time if I reboot it all comes back but sometimes after a reboot my NVME cache drive is missing. It will only come back if I do a Hard reboot. My cache drive used to be on a sata ssd but when I changed hardware I upgraded to an NVME ssd and used the mover to move my cache shares to the array i then removed the sata ssd and replaced it with the NVME one and used the mover again to moved files off the array to my cache. I'm not sure what to do. Thanks thetoaster-diagnostics-20230306-0844.zip
March 6, 20233 yr Community Expert NVMe id dropping offline, this can sometimes help, on the main GUI page click on the flash drive, scroll down to "Syslinux Configuration", make sure it's set to "menu view" (top right) and add this to your default boot option, after "append initrd=/bzroot" nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off e.g.: append initrd=/bzroot nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off Reboot and see if it makes a difference (power cycle instead of a reboot is likely needed to get the device back online)
March 6, 20233 yr Author Will do. I had looked around found that info and tried append nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 initrd=/bzroot but i will try with nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off after initrd=/bzroot Will follow up if it drops again.

March 7, 20233 yr Community Expert If it's a possibility reccomend trying a different brand/model NVMe device.
March 7, 20233 yr Author Unfortunately i dont. I can try moving to to another slot. are some NVME drive not compatible with unraid ?

March 7, 20233 yr Author Just tried updating my bios and changing NVME slots but no go. Ill see if i can find another nvme drive but that might not be an option. I have a different 1tb in another system. ill use the mover to transfer from cache to array, remove nvme from server and insert into other pc, clone the one in the pc and swap em. But from what im hearing there is no way to know what nvme will work thetoaster-diagnostics-20230307-1307.zip Edited March 7, 20233 yr by SuperToaster
