Keyfile restoring flashdrive

Featured Replies

Hi

I have forgotten the password to main tower server.

So I deleted the three files on the usb for password reset(manual)

When booting the usb failed to boot

I set the usb aside and maid a new usb on a trial key

That was that I went in and can see the data on the one drive an ssd

The new trial(usb) is on a sandisk disk I read that these are not recommended.

What I would like to do.

I would like to copy the key file off the original usb temporally.

I would like to recreate the usb using wizard

I would like to then restore the keyfile back to original usb (manualy)

and boot up the array--(plus key version)

What and where is the key file??

Help. Any advice or help greatly received.

Back up your original usb, the keyfile is a pretty obvious "Plus.key" in the config folder.

Only restore it to the original drive it's for since it's tied to it.
