March 13, 20233 yr Would appreciate some advice on this please. Disk 1 has started showing read errors, so I'm assuming I need to swap the drive out. Am I safe to follow the procedure for replacing a data drive, or are there other things I should be checking/looking out for beforehand? March 14, 20233 yr Diags are after rebooting so we can't see if the errors were logged as a disk problem, but SMART doesn't look good.
March 16, 20233 yr Author Ah OK, I haven't been running the server 24/7. I fired it up and ran a parity check and smart test on disk 1, and attached new diagnostics below. Hopefully this will reveal more. tower-smart-20230316-0646.zip tower-diagnostics-20230316-0647.zip
March 16, 20233 yr SMART test passed so technically the disk is OK for now, but don't like that SMART report, any more read errors I would replace it.
