Help needed (rookie): Unraid not responding

Featured Replies

Hello,

After a long time of flawless performance, my Unraid became non responsive today.

Its not accessible over network (IP address) and it did not output any signal to the monitor so I could not use command line.

So it was shut down by the "red botton". I tried to read forums but did not find any other solution.

When it boots up, the signal is back on the monitor and it shows the boot process. But at the end of this the signal to the monitor is again

lost and I am not able to see the last stages... It shows up on the network but again is not accessible via IP.

So I am lost, and not sure what to do...

There was some options during booting (to choose safe mode - if I understood it correctly). But I don't want to manually shut it off and boot again until I get some feedback on how to proceed by the more knowledgeable members of this forum.

Any help is much appreciated. Cheers, Kjetil

Does the monitor lose the image completely, like if nothing is connected?

Yes

The screen says "mode not supported", so it might be outputting something - but its never been like this before

That usually means there's still output, are you booting normal or GUI mode? Also try with a different monitor if you have one.

Will test another monitor and feedback here. But always had signal to the screen before, and could access command line at any time. I think I am booting normal, it's just command line text that show up on the screen during booting. Its not like the GUI I have when accessing thru a web browser.
