USB drive not showing up

I'm trying to connect an external SSD that is exFat. I've tried several of the onboard usb ports, as well two usb ports connected by PCIe. No matter where I plug the drive in, it never shows up. Any help is appreciated.

    Are you using Unassigned Devices to try and mount it?

    Yes, I have Unassigned Devices and Unassigned Devices Plus installed. However I'm not seeing the server recognize the USB drive to approach mounting it. Or maybe I just don't know where I'm supposed to be seeing it.
