March 21, 20233 yr I recently upgraded about a month ago to the new intel 13th gen CPU and a z690 chipset. I've had nothing but success until today. When I was inspecting the LSI card I noticed that it was really hot. I did add a fan to it today but I still seem to have this issue where after just a bit of my server running each drive gets 96 or 116 errors and then I can't see the drives until I reboot. Is there a chance the card took a crap before I got a chance to get a fan on it? Also I've updated my diagnostics. Not sure why all my drives would have errors and disappear. That's why I'm thinking it's something to do with the LSI card. It's a 9207-8i. tower-diagnostics-20230320-1914.zip Edited March 21, 20233 yr by FreakyBigFoot

March 21, 20233 yr Community Expert Mar 20 23:40:27 Tower kernel: mpt2sas_cm0: SAS host is non-operational !!!! HBA problems, make sure the HBA is well seated and sufficiently cooled, you can also try a different PCIe slot if available.
March 21, 20233 yr Author I have a feeling it went too long without cooling and it's toast I ordered a new card. I've tried every pci slot and it ran fine since the rebuild until yesterday. I wonder if it was just sitting in there too hot for too long..
