Unable to communicate with GitHub.com after change of Internet Service

Featured Replies

I used to have my own router with gateway of "192.168.1.1" but recently changed to ATT fiber with an Arris modem/router with a new gateway of "192.168.1.254". Without change of anything I may still get my Unraid server up and running but there is a warning "Fix Common Problems ... Errors have been found with your server. Investigate at Settings/User Utilities/Fix Common Problems". The "Fix Common Problems" page is showing as attached below.

Please guide me to fix this problem. I set a fixed IP for my Unraid box at 192.168.1.120 of which I use it to get the server GUI. The "Suggested Fix" of "Reset your modem / router" means to reset the IPv4 default gateway and IPv4 DNS server to "192.168.1.254" to match the present gateway address, and to set DNS to 8.8.8.8, is it correct? What's the difference of deleting /config/network.cfg from the flash drive and reboot?

Thanks for the help!

Deleting network.cfg completely resets your network settings back to defaults (ie: DHCP)  which should fix everything up.

But since you gateway changed, you do want to ensure that the gateway in Settings - Network settings is correct
