How does the app "Array" communicate with my server?

Featured Replies

Hello

I've recently downloaded a management app called "Array" by "Advice Dog". It works great and let me see information about my server, while also allowing me to send a shutdowm command.

What I am wondering is how does this communication work? More precisely, If I wanted to create my own program, which could get this data and send shutdowm commands, which communication protocols and commands would I use? Is there a guide/documentation somewhere detailing this?

I would suggest asking the author of the app (if he is willing to tell you).  I do not think there is anything officially documented that gives this information.
