Issues with initial Unraid OS install - stalls at Loading /bzroot...ok

Featured Replies

Having an issue with initial install of Unraid OS. Loading onto a Dell Insprion Desktop with a fresh windows install.

Using a sandisk 32gb flash drive in 2.0. Have tried multiple different flash drives.

Used USB creator, as well as followed instructions under manual creation. No change in using. Have tried the two most recent versions.

Changed BIOS to boot from USB. Loads to the screen to choose OS. Have tried Unraid OS and Unraid OS Safe Mode, with no change.

Stalls out at "Loading  /bzroot...ok" and nothing else happens.

What are the next trouble shooting steps?

Have you tried booting with and without UEFI?

  • Author

Correct, have tried both. On this BIOS, I only have the option for legacy boot to access USB boot option as well.

ok, I have been able to get past the issue by using an older version. I do not have a GUI, only the command prompt and UNRAID login - assuming it is root, it pulls up the following:

root@UNRAID:~#

I am stuck here.

Looks like it booted. Have you tried going to http://unraid-ip from a browser on another computer in your network? The IP would be shown right before the login prompt
