swaggymike
Not sure what is going on here, my sdm drive became disabled about a week or so ago. I removed it from the array, and then let it rebuild. This morning I woke up to find it disabled again. I ran the short self tests, which came back without errors. I am thinking it could be a bad sata cable? JorgeB
Could be a power/cable issue, there have also been some reports of newer Seagate drives having issues with LSI SAS2 controllers, so I would recommend connecting it to the onboard SATA with new cables. Quote Link to comment
swaggymike
Thank you, I did not realize that. I have ordered new sata cables and a new drive for dual parity, and will recable my server based upon your recommendation. 1 Quote Link to comment
