MrBuzzkill
I have recently started using Unraid, but one thing has been bugging me to no end. I have 4 disks in total of which two (0 and 1, with 0 being parity) will absolutely not stay spinned down. Disk 2 and 3, which currently have no data on them, will also randomly spin up a couple of minutes later. I have tried disabling all docker applications, removing multiple plugins, tried File Activity, Open Files, and nothing seems to help guide me towards what is being used. Open Files only told me (after shutting everything down) that containerid and dockerid were supposedly open, but I double checked that everything docker related is on the SSD. The only other thing that consistenly happens is that, just before a spinup, something seems to write to the cache SSD. I also doublechecked if it wasn't something like Jellyfin scanning, but it is set to scan only once every 24h. And it shouldn't make a difference any way if I disabled all dockers. The disks will also never spin down, even though the spindown is set to 45 minutes for all the disks. But I assume something is keeping them alive within those 45min. Does anyone know what more I can do to check what is spinning up my disks? nastower-diagnostics-20230417-1806.zip Quote Link to comment
