Ran a parity check last night, which found no errors; however, I now show 16 errors on the parity drive.

 

 

Is this acceptable?  I think the errors may have to do with a power outage hard shutdown a couple of weeks ago...

Those represent read errors. Attach a syslog.

You may need to replace your parity drive. But first you can try rebuilding parity and see if the problem goes away.

 

1. Stop the array.

2. unasign the parity drive and start the array. (This causes unRAID to forget about the parity drive.)

3. Stop the array and assign parity.

4. Start the array and allow parity to rebuild.

5. Perform a parity check

6. monitor the parity drive for additional errors.

Okay, I rebuilt the parity last nite; no errors. I'll check it tonight..
