Blacklisted?

Hello, I woke up today and checked my server's interface, only to see that my license is "blacklisted"?

It some times happens that my cat steps on the button to shut off the server, which leads me to think it's rather been corrupted.
I don't see any other reason for it being "Blacklisted". Anything I can do?

Also, do I have to purchase a new license if I want to use Unraid again? Seems very bongers to loose a license due to a cat stepping on my button, lol.

Can I somehow save it too? Like, do I have to completely reinstall Unraid?? I finally have a really good setup where I'm really happy, I've used Windows Server previously and once Unraid before as well, but VMs didn't work so well. However, now I have it working perfectly as I want it to work. To reinstall everything is gonna kill my drive to use Unraid. Not to mention the amount of time it took me to find a functional USB-stick that could run Unraid, one didn't get the label so it wasn't recognized however many times I tried..

Anything that can be done?

I'd attach purchase receipts and so on but your contact form doesn't allow me to.

This is a letter I wrote to Unraid support. I figured to post it here as well, to see if anyone could help or have information.

My questions are as followed:

  1. Can I uncorrupt?
  2. If I can't uncorrupt, is it possible to preserve VMs / Dockers? Files?
  3. Is my license actually blacklisted, if so, why? I have a pretty regular use-case in my own opinion.
  4. How does one even get blacklisted in the first place?
  5. help

Current Flash GUID in my panel: 0000-0000-0000-000000000000

Used to be something else, but it changed over night. System worked just fine last night before going to bed, my cat stepped on the button again at around 13:00(1am?) yesterday which shut off the system completely (not a long press, but short, so I assume it's a graceful shutdown?), and then the system worked fine over the rest of the day after she stepped on it and I booted it back up. However, today when I woke up and checked the panel I got a big ol' warning telling me it's blacklisted.

What I will do from now on however, is I'll find a book and put it above the button so it cannot be pressed by my kitten anymore. 😂

Confusion. No emails were sent with notice about any blacklist. Help.

Thank you.

Excuse my grammar please, English is my second language.

That is not a valid unique GUID.    It should not change as it is meant to be set at the hardware level.    Have you tried rebooting the server (possibly with a power cycle involved) to see if your flash drive gets back to reporting a valid GUID.   If it continues to report that GUID of all zeroes then there is a problem with the flash drive and your only option will be to move to a different flash drive that DOES report a valid GUID.

That GUID is obviously not unique, so it is blacklisted. If it was different before then something must have happened to your flash drive.

Do you have a flash backup?

Happened to me too, but on my desktop machine not my Unraid server.

I'm afraid of rebooting and loosing all my files, can I safely reboot you think?

Unfortunately I'm a dumb dumb and didn't ever back make a backup of the flash drive, I was safely assuming I was good.

My first mistake. 😹

Nothing will happen to any of the files on your disks (that hasn't already happened). You are going to have to reboot to make any progress, if this flash drive won't work you will have to start over with another flash drive.

Okay, I put it to reboot about 30 minutes ago, nothing happened, it would not shut down.

I decided to say f- it and press the button, so I did. It shut down and I pressed the button again to boot it back up and it just now came up.

Flash drive now has the GUID and it works fine, I'll create a flash backup right now!

Thank you so much ❤️
