Viper359
Hello; 1 of my 24 drives died. I have 1 disk parity. I want to just buy a nice big 18TB drive, have it become the new parity, and use the old parity disk to be the new disk for the one that died, and then restore it from the parity drive. Can I do this, or must I replace the dead drive first, with something as big or smaller than the parity drive? Quote Link to comment
Solution itimpi Posted April 21, 2023 Solution Share Posted April 21, 2023 You can use the Parity Swap procedure which is designed for exactly this Use Case. Quote Link to comment
