August 12, 201114 yr Author PCI is good for well over 100MB/s. Sure, assuming not much else is going on there I'd give it a try. As far as the test box goes, that true. But since whatever I end up using for the optimum tuning will be migrated to my production servers where there is more contention on the PCI bus, I want to stick to PCI-e.

August 21, 201114 yr Author Not yet. I'm trying some different NICs, and looking at some kernel scheduling options. I've got to find a P-mode NIC to sniff it too.
