Unable to login via Browser but can via ssh

I am unable to login via the browser.  I get "Too many login attempts".   But I can login to server via ssh.  Is there some way to reset the browser login form ssh login?

Why/how did you get to this point?  

 

Do you have a password for login? 

 

Did you forget it?  

 

Might someone else be attempting to login via the GUI?  Basically a hacking attempt. 

 

There is a setting on the Fix Common Problems plugin to limit the number of invalid logins attempts per day.  Mine is set to 25. I believe that a reboot will set this counter back to zero.  I think the server can be reboot from the command line in ssh with the command   reboot   or a quick push of the power button will perform a clean shutdown.
