Random Shutdown 1-2 Times A Day

Featured Replies

This problem has been ongoing for months and now its really beating me. I had a disk die a long time ago (2-3 months) and when I replaced it to do the rebuild that's when the problems started. I could never get a rebuild finish, the server would unclean shutdown 5min-1hr into it. It seemed like hardware failure to me so I unplugged everything inside the server and ran cputest and memtest on it. CPU stress ran fine but during memtest the sever would shutdown 1-5min into it, the problem was worse using more channels. It was a super old mobo and ram with a relatively new psu (more than enough power too) so i assumed it was the mobo/ram dying and replaced mobo, cpu, ram (due for upgrade anyway). Server boots but problem persists. I replaced psu, rebuild completes and everything is fine for a few days. Then the random restarts started again. Now its happening consistently 1-2 times a day. I have never seen anything in logs, I have tried enabling the write log to usb function to see if I can catch a kernel panic or something but to no avail. Looking for any advice on how to troubleshoot this.

P.S running 6.11.5, I have tried downgrading, running beta, uninstall old plugins, making sure fix common errors is happy, even replaced every sata cable. Now the only hardware I haven't replaced is the drives themselves (other than the one that went bad).

The other frustrating thing about this issue is that it could be multiple compounding issues. It could have been a bad mobo causing some of the shutdowns. Now it could be brownout or "bad power", although no other devices on the same circuit have this issue so I suspect not.
