August 11, 201114 yr I am getting rid of my G/byte board - and replacing with a biostar board. If I read correctly it does not matter which sata port the drives are connected to on the new board - all that matters is that the drives get added back to the array in the correct order - is that correct?

Yes, if you are running a newer beta you should not even have to reassign the drives. If you are running 4.7 just make sure to assign your drives back to the same slots.
