I am getting rid of my G/byte board - and replacing with a biostar board.

 

If I read correctly it does not matter which sata port the drives are connected to on the new board - all that matters is that the drives get added back to the array in the correct order - is that correct?

Yes, if you are running a newer beta you should not even have to reassign the drives.  If you are running 4.7 just make sure to assign your drives back to the same slots.

I have an hpa issue to deal with before upgrading to 4.7 - hence the need to replace board.
