thunderclap
I'm struggling to get an Ubuntu VM to be able to write to a shared directory. I've got the directory configured properly in Shares (Secure) and the user configured to have read/write access, yet when I go to the directory in Ubuntu I can see the contents but not write to the directory. If I access the directory in Windows, however, I can read/write no issue. Does anyone have any idea how to get a SMB shared directory writable in an Ubuntu VM? Quote Link to comment
Solution thunderclap Posted May 22, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted May 22, 2023 I finally figured this out. I needed to configure uid and gid to www-data (generally 33) during the mounting process. I could then write to the directory. Quote Link to comment
