Cache Drive Upgrade - App/Container issues

Featured Replies

The issue I am facing is I've upgraded my cache drive and upon running the mover after switching cache preferences back to `prefer` from `yes` the app/container are no longer showing up.

They were showing up before I did the preference change & move.

Steps I was trying to follow:

  1. Stop all running Dockers/VMs

  2. ⚠️Settings -> VM Manager: disable VMs and click apply I think this may be my mistake as I forgot this step

  3. ⚠️Settings -> Docker: disable Docker and click apply I think this may be my mistake as I forgot this step

  4. Click on Shares and change to "Yes" all cache shares with "Use cache disk:" set to "Only" or "Prefer"

  5. Check that there's enough free space on the array and invoke the mover by clicking "Move Now" on the Main page

  6. When the mover finishes check that your cache is empty (any files on the cache root will not be moved as they are not part of any share)

  7. Stop array, replace cache device, assign it, start array and format new cache device (if needed), check that it's using the filesystem you want

  8. Click on Shares and change to "Prefer" all shares that you want moved back to cache

  9. On the Main page click "Move Now"

  10. When the mover finishes re-enable Docker and VMs

I have since tried changing prefrence back to "yes" doing a move nothing in docker, moved back to cache, still nothing.

Quite stumped, do I need to just re-set up the apps?
