Hi, new to unraid and I am in my trial. Really want to move forward, but been stuck on this nic issue and was hoping to get some help. Also, sorry if this isn't really unraid's fault and just my own inability.

I bought the following TPLINK nic from Amazon - but I am getting the following, where the speed seems set to 1gbe:

oot@Tower:~# ethtool eth0

                                             1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full

Any advice on how to go about addressing this?

Your switch does not support 2,5G (at least it does not offer it). If it really is a 2,5g type, check its settings. Or, maybe,  only certain ports of the switch can do 2,5? check the manual and use the correct one.
