laf
Hi, new to unraid and I am in my trial. Really want to move forward, but been stuck on this nic issue and was hoping to get some help. Also, sorry if this isn't really unraid's fault and just my own inability. I bought the following TPLINK nic from Amazon - but I am getting the following, where the speed seems set to 1gbe: oot@Tower:~# ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: Supported ports: [ TP MII ] Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full 2500baseT/Full Supported pause frame use: Symmetric Receive-only Supports auto-negotiation: Yes Supported FEC modes: Not reported Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full 2500baseT/Full Advertised pause frame use: Symmetric Receive-only Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Advertised FEC modes: Not reported Link partner advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full Link partner advertised pause frame use: No Link partner advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Link partner advertised FEC modes: Not reported Speed: 1000Mb/s Duplex: Full Auto-negotiation: on master-slave cfg: preferred slave master-slave status: slave Port: Twisted Pair PHYAD: 0 Transceiver: external MDI-X: Unknown Supports Wake-on: pumbg Wake-on: d Link detected: yes Any advice on how to go about addressing this? loads.txt urls.txt ifconfig.txt ethtool.txt lscpu.txt vars.txt drm.txt cmdline.txt thirdparty_packages.txt lspci.txt ps.txt lsscsi.txt folders.txt iommu_groups.txt top.txt lsof.txt nvidia-smi.txt df.txt lsusb.txt plugins.txt lsmod.txt meminfo.txt btrfs-usage.txt memory.txt motherboard.txt UraidUbuntuVM.txt IOI_SD_M_MC_Disk_..._20060413092100000-0-2-20230513-1518 (sdd).txt IOI_MS_M_sPro_Disk_..._20060413092100000-0-3-20230513-1518 (sde).txt HGST_HUS724020ALA640_PN1131P6GAS3YN-20230513-1518 parity (sdf).txt IOI_SM_x_D-Picture_Disk.._20060413092100000-0-1-20230513-1518 (sdc).txt IOI_CF_M_icroDrive_Disk.._20060413092100000-0-0-20230513-1518 (sdb).txt HGST_HUS724020ALA640_PN2134P6GZDNGP-20230513-1518 disk3 (sdi).txt SanDisk_Cruzer_Glide_4C531001621013106310-0-0-20230513-1518 flash (sda).txt INTEL_SSDPEKNW010T8_PHNH206400S21P0B-20230513-1518 cache (nvme0).txt HGST_HUS724020ALA640_PN2134P6H057AP-20230513-1518 disk1 (sdg).txt HGST_HUS724020ALA640_PN2131P6GH0SPP-20230513-1518 disk2 (sdh).txt eui.0000000001000000e4d25cd3a6365501-20230513-1518 cache (nvme0).txt syslog.txt dhcplog.txt docker.txt unraid-6.11.5.txt UraidUbuntuVM.xml isos.cfg system.cfg d--a.cfg domains.cfg appdata.cfg shareDisks.txt cache.cfg ident.cfg docker.cfg go.txt network.cfg super.dat domain.cfg disk.cfg Quote Link to comment
Squid
To get the obvious out of the way, is the cable plugged into a 2.5GBs switch? or router with 2.5GBs port? Also, next time upload the zip file. Don't separate the files out. Makes it a PITA for everyone Quote Link to comment
laf
Yes, its attached to a 2.5 switch. My client I'm accessing the gui from is 1GB, but didn't that would matter. Got it on the zip upload, not sure how that happened, as I thought I just uploaded the single file. Quote Link to comment
MAM59
9 hours ago, laf said: Link partner advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full Your switch does not support 2,5G (at least it does not offer it). If it really is a 2,5g type, check its settings. Or, maybe, only certain ports of the switch can do 2,5? check the manual and use the correct one. Quote Link to comment
Solution laf Posted May 15, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted May 15, 2023 Thanks Mam59. Its a managed switch and for some reason the port was set to 1gb...duh on my part. Thanks for taking the time to take a look! Works fine now Quote Link to comment
