svtcobra96
Hello, new to unraid and still in the trail phase (plan on buying a key once i have everything setup). I am running into a bit of an odd issue, at least i think it is, i went into the GUI and noticed the unassigned disks "loading" indefinitely (with the unraid wavy emblem). I also noticed none of my shares that are mounted are listed. I can see in the CLI that the existing shares are mounted, and despite letting me go through the process of mounting the shares in the GUI any new ones don't show up. I'm 99% a reboot will fix this, but 1) i am running a smart scan on a drive that had a couple of errors to see if its really failing or not and 2) if it reoccurs i dont want to have to reboot every time it happens so wondering if anyone knows why it may be occurring and how to correct it? Version: 6.11.5 I attached the diags as well. unraid-diagnostics-20230513-1826.zip Quote Link to comment
svtcobra96
Follow up - i did end up reboot when the smart scan finished and it did come back to life and is working as normal now. I did notice that i had one smb share that disappeared and was inaccessible over the network (from windows and linux - so its not windows thing as i have read a good deal about that sometime being an issue). The share is currently set to export: yes and public for permissions. Post reboot the share was back as well. Also all expected mounts that are shared from my current NAS to this were back and accessible too. So seems like something odd is occurring and i'm not sure why or what. Only thing additional running on this is a VM with Video pass through and i occasionally boot a Krusader Docker container to have a gui to move some data around easily/quickly. Would appreciate any thoughts/input as i want to make sure things are stable before i purchase a key and also decommission my old NAS. Thanks Edited May 14, 2023 by svtcobra96 Quote Link to comment
