May 18, 20233 yr I have installed the card in a new computer but it wont boot to the BIOS when it is installed. The MOBO is a Gigabyte Z87X-OC with BIOS F6 running. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z87X-OC-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios If I remove the card, I can boot to the BIOS. The card was working in my previous machine, not that that means anything. Any thoughts?
May 18, 20233 yr @xdriver I have a cross-flashed Dell H310 in my main server (ASRock Rack MB) and it also would not boot with the H310 installed. The tape mod JorgeB linked did the trick for me. The system has been booting now for over three years with the H310 installed.
May 18, 20233 yr Author That worked, the tape must have come off in the old machine and I didn't notice. That being said, now when I plug my 3x4 Rosewill hotswap cage in to power, the machine wont turn on. When I unplug the power from it, the machine will turn on. I have tried it with and without the drives installed, and same non boot. The fan turns for one second and then shuts off, and never goes to BIOS.
