May 25, 20233 yr I have four 4 TB drives plus parity and a cache drive. One of the drives has been reported hundreds of errors recently so I bought a replacement and put it in according to this guide. I checked in the BIOS that the new drive was connected OK with this: When I boot the server though I get this screen: What does this mean? Not sure what to do next.
May 25, 20233 yr Community Expert Solution The sda1 device is almost certainly your flash drive so the screenshot indicates that one of the Unraid system files cannot be read from it. This can sometimes be fixed by simply overwriting all the bz* type files (extracted from a zip file version of the Unraid release). I would suggest you started by putting the flash drive into a PC/Mac to check you can read the flash drive and making a backup before trying the above. If that does not work it might suggest the flash drive is failing.
May 25, 20233 yr Author Thanks, I pulled the flash drive out, put it into my Windows machine and it detected and fixed errors. It booted up fine, and now the new drive is rebuilding.
