slow network read on an unraid basic server

Hi,

 

I am testing out a new unraid v4.1 basic server.

 

I am using a abit ab9 pro. I have 2 new wd sata drives. it uses a 100mb network.

 

i can down load a 1gb iso to the unraid server in about 2mins. I have tried 2 times to copy it via cut/paste to another windows server it seems to need 150 minutes to copy it off the unraid server.

 

Seemed slow to me. It didn't get any write errors (from unraid gui). The ifconfig had no network retry errors.

 

What should i be looking for to figure out my problem.

 

I tried v4.2 but it had trouble detecting the sata drives.

It is probably your onboard ethernet.  Try an add-in card from the list of compatible products.

 

You can also try 4.0 instead.
