Opening asf streams on unRAID for foscam ipcam

I was just wondering if anybody figured out how to open asf streams on 4.7 via any user customization?

 

Reason being, I have a foscam FI8918W ip camera and one major lacking feature is the ability to record video offline, ie:, without internet explorer open.

 

On the mac side you could use vlc to open the live video stream via the following url:

 

http://ipcam_url/videostream.asf?user=username&pwd=password

 

Just wondering.
