June 5, 20233 yr Hi, I have a nut server with an attached UPS. I have seen the nut plugin that enables unraid to serve as a nut SERVER. But is there also a configuration in which it will act as a nut client and listen to the already existing nut server and start shutdown when appropriate? Regards JP

Yes, you just have to be mindful of the communication path from master to slave, if you have a router or switch in the path that loses power before the timeout defined, or the master shuts down first, the slave won't shut down. Any slaves should be calculated to be completely shut down before the master even gets close to a shutdown condition. Also keep in mind that typical UPS SLA batteries don't appreciate being discharged below 50% capacity, so with multiple systems and devices connected you usually need to shut down rather rapidly when power is lost, I usually only let slave devices run for literally a minute after power is lost.
