Was at my local  Microcenter, and noticed WD Red Plus 4TB hard drive on sale for $80

I saw the WD Red 4TB on Amazon for $61

What is the difference between WD Red and Red Plus?

My server doesn't run 24/7...I turn it on when I need it

Assuming I want to buy 1 or 2 drives, can I go with the Red or it's important to get the Red Plus?

Usually Red <8TB are SMR, Red Plus are CMR.

So which one is really better? Is the Plus a must have and worth the $20 difference?

CMR is better for performance, SMR can slow down for writes, sometimes by a lto, if it's worth or not de price difference depends in part on your priorities.
