If you just need a simple receiver without all the bells and whistles then there are plenty in the sub $400 range that will work just as well.

August 20, 201114 yr Author Might have been. There have been deals for the RX-A1000 (this one), the RX-A2000, and the RX-A3000 recently. I wonder if they are clearing out stock in anticipation of next year's models, which they are probably going to release around Black Friday in time for the holidays. I've very happy with this line of receivers though, I wouldn't wait for next year's.
