June 25, 20233 yr I just thought I'd throw this out there if anybody could guide me to what the problem may be. These unclean shutdowns have only happened twice so far in the past couple of months. The first time I thought may have been just a fluke, or maybe my cats knocked a cable or hit a power button. But I was home when the second one happened just now and I don't see what could have caused it. Diagnostics are attached. Hopefully an answer is in there. tartarus-diagnostics-20230625-2040.zip

June 25, 20233 yr Community Expert If the flash drive is exported as a share you can grab them over SMB, it will be a share called flash, if not and you don't want to export just remove the flash drive and get it on a PC.
June 25, 20233 yr Community Expert There is also this problem with latching SATA connectors and certain WD drives: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/15954

To move the flash drive to a PC, I assume that's with the server shut down. It's currently going through the parity check. Shouldn't I wait for that to finish before doing anything else?

You actually want to shutdown the server before pulling the boot drive. Pulling the boot drive while the server is still running will cause problems.
