Setting Up Remote SMB Share to a Windows 2000 Machine

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I've been helping a friend setup a server for their small business and I've run into an issue.

They run some old machines which have outdated windows versions on them. I've been able to setup one of their machines which runs Windows XP as a remote SMB share with no issues. However another machine which is running Windows 2000 doesn't seem to be able to mount.

Going over the syslog, it seems like the permission to the device is denied. I've removed any login credentials from the device and checked most of the share options with no luck so far. Any help here would be much appreciated!
