Beep not working in Unraid

Featured Replies

Hi!

Hope this is the correct place to post this.

I have just installed a speaker on my motherboard (MSI Mortar B660m), as it did not come with one as standard - as I want to start using audio cues for various things.

The beep works on startup (after enabling it in BIOS), so the speaker is working - however I cannot get a beep when issuing the command in the command line.

I have tried various beep frequencies and lengths and there is no sound coming from the speaker.

When i put my head right up to the server I 'believe' there is a slight vibration, but I do not know if thats just my imagination.

Please let me know if there is anything I can try, thank you as always!

Not sure what it could be, it works for me when using the beep command.

Thanks for the response @JorgeB - thats unfortunate, I was really hoping to get the beep sound to indicate when my photo ingest had finished :(
