Re: Finally Got a Plugin Installer

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been looking to use the whole plugin thing but when I try to use it, it don't seem to work.

For example, I tried to install sickbeard with this package but whether I use the "drop package in /config/plugins" (nothing happened) or "installplg /boot/config/plugins/sickbeard.plg" (My computer just insult me "IO warning failed to load entity ... line 12 ... XML parse error ").

Did I forgot something ? (It's a brand new server installation and I'm a - at the moment - free client)

Thanks

Aw, I actually used /boot, it's just a typo.

I even used dir to launch directly installplg from the folder, but no luck.

make sure the file really ends with .plg (had one problem before, where internet explorer added a .xml, which was hidden in the windows explorer)

check in your telnet session: "ls /boot/config/plugins"

if the name is wrong, rename it using: "mv oldname newname"

Not sure if it's connected but when I downloaded the files, I got them as txt so I had to manually rename them to plg.

edit : And my files are all .plg (I have both sickbeard and slimserver, but no one work)

just check (using the command in my previous post)

also you can try to redownload the file. maybe it got corrupted while downloading or you didn't get the whole file

Redownloaded (with the proper file extension) and nothing happened.

... Oo

For a unknown reason, if I enter the command in the linux terminal, it's not working, but with telnet, it's worked...

Strange...

so you could install the plugin using telnet?

i have no idea why it wouldn't work from the terminal...
