Replacement Fan for ICY DOCK MB454SPF-B

It looks like the ICY DOCK MB454SPF-B Mulit-Bay Backplane has been discontinued on newegg. I want to replace the fan, but the fan is in a plastic case and the wires are soldered to pins on the plastic case.

 

I have no problem soldering, but can't seem to find an official replacement part. Can I just buy a 80mm fan and solder the wires to the pins? It's a popular backplane, so I'm sure this situation has come up. I did search around before posting.

    I replaced one of mine with an el cheapo 80mm fan off ebay.

    We do not have a method of switching the fan on the enclosure to a standard 80mm fan.

    But, you can buy a replacement fan here:

    I like to have spare parts. The fan will eventually start to make noise.  Backup data and your hardware..
