August 24, 201114 yr Hi folks, just finished a new plugin for unraid v5b11+ this enables the use of a dynamic dns system (like dyndns.org or no-ip.com). warning: using this makes hacking of your server easier, especially if any ports are routet to your unraid server this plugin makes use of inadyn (http://freshmeat.net/projects/inadyn), an open source dns updater app. supported dynamic dns services are: http://www.dyndns.org http://freedns.afraid.org http://www.zoneedit.com http://www.no-ip.com http://www.easydns.com http://www.tzo.com http://www.3322.org http://www.dnsomatic.com http://www.tunnelbroker.net, i.e., http://dns.he.net/ http://www.dynsip.org http://www.sitelutions.com installation: save the plg file to /boot/config/plugins run installplg /boot/config/plugins/inadyn-0.98.1-noarch.1bw.plg or restart the server download: http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/inadyn/inadyn-0.98.1-noarch.1bw.plg todo: support for multiple services/domains fix a hang when starting the service (workaround: reload page after a few seconds) (this bug is extremly annoying, but don't know yet, why this happens)
January 23, 201214 yr Awesome plugin, thanks! I want to run a TS3 server using this and another Unraid Plugin, am I am looking at putting myself at significant risk by doing this?

June 27, 201214 yr His plugins are also hosted here: https://github.com/Benni-chan/unraid_plugins You can save it from there.

Nothing I can do about that. The server the guy was hosting the image on is down. You could edit the URL in the plg and put this in there. I found it when doing a search for "inadyn icon". http://a.fsdn.com/con/icons/dy/[email protected]/release.png EDIT: Here, I updated the plg for anyone that can't do that on their own. I used the URL for the icon I linked to above. inadyn.zip

(Although i assume the image would've made it fail as well) If you could upload it somewhere from your /boot/packages/ folder it would be a simple edit of the .plg file
June 28, 201214 yr Can't you do it? I don't even have this plugin installed. I was just trying to be helpful. Just do a Google search for that file and edit the plg with a new URL.
September 1, 201213 yr I'd be happy to give it a try if anyone would be willing to upload their copy of inadyn-0.1.98.1-bin.tar.gz
September 1, 201213 yr The link "http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/inadyn/inadyn-0.1.98.1-bin.tar.gz" seems to be still down ...... anyone please update so as I can give a try to this plugin ...... Regards Sammy
October 16, 201213 yr +1 . I'd like to use this plugin. Who can provide us this file since it seems to be deleted from the original repository ?
October 25, 201213 yr Hello ? Does anybody knows where we can retrieve that file ? Please ? inadyn-0.1.98.1-bin.tar.gz
October 26, 201213 yr Hello ? Does anybody knows where we can retrieve that file ? Please ? inadyn-0.1.98.1-bin.tar.gz ?? Seems to be available from the github link http://freecode.com/projects/inadyn I just pulled the .bz and the .gz files. Or is that not what you're looking for?
October 26, 201213 yr This DNS plugin calls explicitely http://unraid.benjaminwaller.de/inadyn/inadyn-0.1.98.1-bin.tar.gz (see : https://github.com/Benni-chan/unraid_plugins/blob/master/inadyn.plg) The github link you found seems to be a different version : troglobit-inadyn-1.98.1-7-gbaff706.tar.gz I'll try to merge all this ressources and see if it's working or not.
October 28, 201213 yr Author the link should work again. sorry for the long down time if memory serves right, i compiled inadyn from source myself. don't know, if there is a newer version available. at the moment, i'm no longer using this plugin myself, since inadyn stops working after a week or so and needs a restart.
March 27, 201412 yr Is there anyway to confirm this is working? I installed it and it is running but with freedns.afraid.org i am unable to confirm it works. Like where is the log for inadyns?
March 27, 201412 yr nevermind, /var/log/inadyn.log and it appears to still be working ... if inadyn as a service crashes (yet to let it run to confirm), then could we create a cron job to run it to update instead of a service? Not a linux expert by any means and not sure how to do this. also would love to know how to do multiple domains even if it is all manual settings in a config file. I tried to add more aliases to the config file but it only keeps one.
