VM no longer getting an ip on br0

Featured Replies

I just upgraded to Unraid v6.12.2 from v6.11.5

My VM does not seem to be getting any IP address from the bridged network since the upgrade.

I've tried toggling the "Network Model" setting between virtio & virtio-net , but same result occurs.

Here is my VM config XML. I'm also attaching diagnostics.

I do see this in the libvirt log file if it can help pinpoint the issue?

If anyone comes to this thread with a similar issue:

The issue boiled to down virtio not working with the kernel version I had on CentOS 7 (3.10).

Updating to current mainline kernel fixed the issue. To do so, I had to switch the VDISK BUS to SATA, update the kernel, then swap back to VIRTIO and everything was working.
