Noob question - red x and read-check paused

I recently had one of my drives get the orange thumbs down message so I am in the middle of  replacing  the old drive with a new drive now the dashboard now says array has 1 failed drive and the new drive shows a red x and the read check is paused what do i do? do i unpause the read check? and will red x go away after the array is done rebuilding?

Looks more like a power/connection problem, replace cables on disk3 and try again.

thank you so I changed cables and re booted  and now the new drive is showing up in unassigned devices didnt want to press the mount button without checking first and alsodisk 3 is showing up as not installed

thank you for all you help I figured it out, i was also having problems the the array stopping seems to be a random issue with build 6.12.2 - Data rebuild is in the works
