Switch from next to stable branch with 6.12-rc

Featured Replies

Hey, I'm fairly new to unraid. I started with with a 6.12-rc version, because I wanted ZFS support (6.12-rc6 at the moment). My server runs fine, but I want to update to the newest version, of course.

I want to switch over to the stable branch, now that ZFS is available in the stable versions.

In the Tools -> Update OS view: Whenever I switch to "stable" in the dropdown box and hit "check for updates" the pop-up modal says checking is done and I click "done". Now a pop-up banner in the top says the operation is finishing in the background, which is the first slighly weird thing. Once that seems to be done, the version column of the update view switches over to "6.12.2" as it should. After one or two seconds it switches again, but this time to "6.12.3-rc1". The branch drop-down also resets to "next".

This is flaky as is, but makes me wonder if it is even supported to switch the branch

a) at all (which of course could include going back to stable)

b) or especially in the situation when rc gets stable (going forward)

Can anyone help me with this situation?

It it, switch to stable again and when you see v6.12.2 click update.

Okay, thanks. As weird as it is to click on a system update button, that only is available for 1-2 seconds, which is barely enough to be even able to click it: it worked!

(Backups were made beforehand, of course!)
