Unraid won't recognize drives in hard drive enclosure

Unraid version: 6.12.2 

 

Hi, I'm running into a wall here and out of ideas hoping someone would chime in. Issue here is after consolidating the external drives into the additional  8-bay enclosure, only 3 drives are recognized no matter what I tried. A snippet of the errors I'm getting are below.

 

I've also attached the dmesg log if it helps and I can attach the syslogs as well though not sure if that aids in the investigation.

Previously setup:

1 x 8-bay hard hard drives enclosure

3 x external hard drives (10TB, 12TB , 16 TB ) 

1 x USB HUB with 3 additional external drives connected ( 8TB, 14TB,  5TB )

 

New Setup:

2 x 8-bay connected on rear USB3 port

USB is problematic for array drives, inconsistent identification and random disconnects are just a couple of the issues that are prevalent with USB enclosures. If you can't use internal SATA connections, the next best option is SAS, it's much more suitable for external drive connections.

 

Some people have successfully used USB, but figuring out which controllers and drive bays work at all, let alone consistently, is a real problem.
