July 14, 20232 yr Hi all, just reactivated my Unraid license. I f have a system with 6 discs which I use in a ZFS-Pool. Problem ist that every file I Put on the shares or download from the internet is immediately corrupted. In case of RAR-Files it is not possible stop uncompress them. Testing shows me that it is based on the Unraid machine as the same download/file works flawlessly on an other machine. I thin that I have a problem with one or more of my hard drives, but how to find out which? The smart values, as far as I can see, looks ok. Thanks for help René homeserver-diagnostics-20230714-1335.zip
July 14, 20232 yr Author Hi, thanks for your reply. Started Memtest, but this is working fine. No problems so far René Edited July 14, 20232 yr by mod
July 17, 20232 yr I face similar problem one time on a new system, all work fine but file copy just corrupt. After some hardware setting change / reset, it gone. But I haven't found out what cause that. Pls try reset BIOS setting to default. Edited July 17, 20232 yr by Vr2Io
July 18, 20232 yr Author Hi, just reseted the BIOS to defaults. Cleaned the usb-stick and did a complete new installation. Docker runs for a few minutes, and then the system hangs completely. July 18, 20232 yr Solution Apps segfaulting and zfs panic suggest a hardware problem, try running with just 1 stick of RAM, if issues persist try the other one, that would basically rule out bad RAM, memtest doesn't always find all issue, if errors with either stick CPU and/or board would be the next suspects.
July 18, 20232 yr Author Hi, thanks for reply. Just a bit wondering as a "normal" Linux Distro runs just fine. But I will try regarding the RAM-Sticks René
July 19, 20232 yr Author Hi all, I would like to thank you all for the support. It seems that one of the RAM-Sticks was broken René
