How do I pass through my bluetooth device to a home assistant VM?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Similar to How do I pass through my bluetooth dongle to a home assistant container? I want to pass the bluetooth device to Home Assistant OS running in a VM.

I'm using UnRaid on a Intel Nuc with build-in bluetooth

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 8087:0aaa Intel Corp. Bluetooth 9460/9560 Jefferson Peak (JfP)

The device is not listed on the supported deviced either on the unsupported devices. Maybe I have luck and it is working, so I want to try it.

Bluez is already installed on UnRaid, but I don't know if it is needed because the whole USB device should be forwarded to the VM.

A bluetooth device is not listed under installed devices and when I try to add one I always get this error:

No unconfigured Bluetooth adapters found. There are 0 ignored adapters.

What is needed to add / forward a bluetooth device in UnRaid to a VM?

Following, I did success to do it, I don't remember how. After a power outage it's gone :(

Edit: Found back the solution:
