Enable and disable USB power via script?

Dear community,

 

I have an external USB powered fan sitting in front of a drive enclosure that I would like to switch on and off based on the temperature reading of the disks in the enclosure by enabling/disabling power on the USB port. Is there a relatively easy way to do / code this?
