sata controller card and drives not showing up on new mainboard

Featured Replies

Hello,

I used for my unraid system amd ryzen pro 4350ge with an ASRock A520-HVS mainboard and an m.2 sata controller card. Months ago I switched to an Intel 13100t and an Gigabyte H610M S2H mainboard. I tried to save a little energy. And it worked for a few weeks. But then the sata controller and its connected hard drives went missing, why the array stoped working. I think it just broke (because, it is very fragtile; touching a connected cable let the light blink, which shows, if a drive is connected)

So I purchased a pcie x4 sata controller (ASM1166+575-Chip). But that won't show up on the Gigabyte Intel combination. When I went back to the ASRock AMD combination, it shows up and everything woks fine.

I tried everything in the BIOS, but I coundn't get it to work on the Intel platform. So I used the AMD combination for a time.

I recently bought a new Intel board (ASRock H610M-HDV/M.2) and a new pcie X1 sata controller (ASM1166-Chip) to try. I see the controller be detected (all 6 lifhts switch and after a second only 3 lights stay on; for the the connected hard drives, and when I connect a drive to another port, the light pattern for the connected drives is different, but still 3 light are active). But the sata controller doesn't show up in Unraid. I got the original m.2 sata controller to work on the new board for once (but one drive connected didn't show up)

Can sombody help me? Do I have to change a setting in Bios?

Thanks in regard.

I have attached the diagnostics the amazon pictures of the sata controllers. I have also screenshot of the Dashboard and "Disk Location".  On Disk Location, the missing drives would be 1, 3 and 7.2138511824_Unraiddisklocation.thumb.png.4c1d810f7af27e0720d7e57929c72543.png

The controller is not being detected by Linux, this is not a software issue, try a different slot if possible.

I have tried it an all slots (both pcie x1 and the pcie x16) and it doesn't show up on any.

I have also now seen, that IOMMU group 7 (PCI bridge: Intel Cooperation Alder Lake-S PCH PCI Express Root Port #1 rev 11) doesn't show up either. Is this the m.2 slot?
