Best way to write to private network drive on shared computer

Hello,

 

This may sound stupid but how do I write to a private network drive.  I'm the only one with access to write to the drive and I've tried mapping it but it still won't let me.  Worse yet, I can't delete the path to it either. 

 

I'm using a crap Vista machine and hit the map network drive.  Everythings good and I even remember to connect using a different user name but when it brings it up it won't let me write to it.  What am I doing wrong?  Is there any way better?  It's a share that the nephews don't have access to but I'm afraid that with a little bit of looking they'll be able to get in.
